Our
psychotherapists come from many different backgrounds
and all have received a thorough training, either at The Bowlby Centre
or elsewhere, and are committed to The Bowlby Centre's values. We
respect and value differences in race, culture,
disability, gender, sexuality, age,
income and class. Our code of ethics requires
psychotherapists to endeavour to use their professional
abilities and skills to their clients' best advantage and
to approach their work with the aim of resolving suffering
and promoting well-being.
The Bowlby Centre is a member of the
Council for Psychoanalysis and Jungian Analysis (CPJA)
section of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
Most psychotherapy relationships work well. If something does
go wrong, we have a complaints procedure backed up by the
provision to appeal to the UKCP.
The Bowlby Centre, in Tower Hamlets is where our outreach
and development activities, training courses and The Blues
Project are based. It provides a welcoming home in London
for our work.
We can make referrals to attachment based therapists delivering
the service from our Centre or other locations
across London.
We can also make referrals to attachment-based therapists working in different parts of the country. Please contact us to find out if there is a therapist in your area.
